Tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff song explained

You heard a deep, drawling voice say "tip toeing in my Jordans" under a video of a dancing imp, and now you want to know who it is. It is Riff Raff. The tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff song is twelve years old: a 2014 single that became a Vine meme that summer, then came back in 2026 when someone paired it with an AI fairy-tale clip.

Here is the short answer, then the full story.

Tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff: who sings it

The line comes from the chorus of a Riff Raff song. Riff Raff is a Houston rapper whose real name is Horst Christian Simco. He was signed to Diplo's label Mad Decent and is known for his neon style and for treating rap as part comedy act.

The real song title, and why you can't find it

Search for "tip toeing in my Jordans" on a streaming app and you may get nothing. That is because the official title is spelled the way Riff Raff says it:

"Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwdinz"

The official video on YouTube styles it "TiP TOE WiNG iN MY JAWWDiNZ". Spotify lists it as "Tip Toe Wing In My Jawwwdinz", with three w's. Search for "jawwdinz" and you will land on it.

What does tip toeing in my Jordans mean?

It is a sneaker joke. A fresh pair of Air Jordans creases across the toe the first time you bend your foot, and sneakerheads hate that. So you walk on your tip toes to keep them perfect.

The song turns that into a brag: I am so careful with my expensive shoes that I tip toe in them. Everyone who copied the line after that was poking fun at sneakerheads babying a new pair.

There is no deeper hidden meaning. Riff Raff songs rarely have one.

The 2014 Vine that made tip toeing in my Jordans a meme

The song charted modestly. The meme was bigger.

On July 2, 2014, Vine user Jerry Purpdrank posted a six-second clip called "Getting new Jordan's be like…". He walks on paper towels so his new Jordans never touch the floor, with the Riff Raff chorus playing. Know Your Meme records 310,000 revines and 588,200 likes.

Copies followed: people, kids and pets tip toeing to the hook. A YouTube compilation of tip toe Vines went up on July 28, 2014. For a few months, the chorus was shorthand for any careful, sneaky little walk.

That history is why older search phrases like "tip toeing in my Jordans vine" still get searched today.

Why tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff is back in 2026

In late August 2026, an AI-generated clip of a Rumpelstiltskin-like imp dancing in a straw-filled room appeared on Instagram. On September 29, a TikToker set it to the Riff Raff chorus, and the imp's bouncy steps landed right on the beat. That version passed 850,000 views in a week, and an X post of it reached 9.8 million views in five days. Our page on the Rumpelstiltskin meme has the full timeline.

Riff Raff's official Facebook page has been posting meme versions under the song title, with fans asking in the comments whether the footage is from a 1987 film. It isn't. It is AI.

One data point of our own: in the US Google Ads data we pulled while building this site, searches for "tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff" sat around 170 to 390 a month for most of the year, then jumped to about 1,000 in June 2026. That spike came before the AI clip existed, so the song was already drifting back into feeds before the imp made it explode.

How to listen to the song and use it legally

Stream it on Spotify, Apple Music or YouTube under the "Jawwdinz" spelling. Lyrics are on licensed sites such as Genius. We don't reprint them here.

Can you use the tip toeing in my Jordans Riff Raff song in your own video?

Yes, if you add it inside the app you are posting to. TikTok, Instagram and CapCut license music for use in their own editors. Pick the track from their sound library instead of baking an MP3 into your file.

That is why the clips from our tip toeing in my Jordans meme generator are silent. You upload a photo and get a 12-second vertical video of that person doing the tip toe dance, then add Riff Raff's track from the platform's library when you post. It keeps the music licensing on the platform, where it belongs.
